This document describes the changes available in each CheckUp Update. Updates are downloaded and applied using the Check For Updates feature found on CheckUp's Home Page. Updates are cumulative, so each new update contains all changes from previous updates. CheckUp users can submit change requests using the Comments & Suggestions feature.

Introduced in 1.5.5

Released July 16, 2007

  • Increased the size of the CheckUp window so scroll bars no longer appear when using Vista.
  • CheckUp will now allow Vista users to restart CheckUp after an update.
  • Increased the number of characters allowed in Notes and Reason fields for Medication, Immunization, Procedure, Visit, and Illness, Disease, and Injury entries to 400 characters.
  • Fixed bug that incorrectly allowed duplicate custom Tests.
  • Fixed bug in Exercise and Diet entries that causes a fatal exception when non-numeric values were entered.
  • Fixed bug that allowed an extra character to be appended to the end of a Journal entry that caused it to exceed the maximum length allowed by the database.
  • Fixed character encoding issue to allow formatted text copied from Microsoft Office products to be entered in the Journal.

  • Added the ability to graph many kinds of Tests.

  • Providers in the Provider Profile can be collapsed or expanded by using the Plus and Minus icons. This allows users to see more providers per screen.

  • Added a second address line to each Provider entry.
  • Added occupation, place of birth, marital status, hair color, and eye color fields to the General Profile along with a place to indicate you have an Advance Directive.

  • Added address and phone number fields to the General Profile. Also included them on the Health Record Report (PDF).
  • Stopped the Diary Journal entry from allowing more than 500 characters to be entered. Any characters over 500 were being truncated later.

  • Added School Nurse to the list of Provider types in the Provider Profile.
  • Decreased the time it takes to display the Person List.

  • The Instructions and Warnings fields in the Medication Profile and Medication Journal Entry have been consolidated into one field called Notes to make room for the new prescription fields.
  • Users can now choose which medications are shown in the Medication Profile by changing the View between Current Only and All. They can also specify the type of medications shown by selecting All, Prescription, Over The Counter or Supplement.
  • The medication entries in the Medication Profile can be collapsed or expanded by using the Plus and Minus icons. This allows users to see more medications per screen.
  • The Medication Profile now has two print options. Once the print preview is opened, users can switch between a detailed view showing all fields and a summary view only showing the medication name, prescribed by, dosage and dates taken.
  • The fields in the Medication Profile and Medication Journal Entry are now more consistent.

  • You can now create and monitor Diet & Fitness goals for Weight Loss, Weight Gain, Calorie Consumption, Carbohydrate Consumption, Fat Consumption, Protein Consumption, Calories Expended and Exercise Minutes. An easy-to-follow graph is shown in the Assessment area of the Health Record for each goal to give you real-time results as new Journal entries are added.
  • You can now create graphs based on Journal entries to analyze trends in your heath information. Graphs can be created to show weight, calories consumed, calories expended, carbohydrates, protein, fat, exercise or calories consumed vs. calories expended. You can specify the date range and a time scale for each graph. You can access the Graphing Tool by clicking the graph icon found at the top of the Journal next to the printer icon.
  • You can now enter custom food and exercise information using the [Add New Food] and [Add New Exercise] buttons found in the top right corner of the Diet and Exercise Search Tools. This makes it convenient to customize CheckUp to your specific needs.
