Windows XP Service Pack 2If your computer has Microsoft Windows XP and you have applied the recently released Windows XP Service Pack 2, you will receive a Security Alert (shown below) when you open CheckUp. The Windows Firewall, included in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2, displays this alert because CheckUp is opening a connection to the Internet. CheckUp uses this connection to the Internet to provide you with software updates and articles in the health.edu section. Although CheckUp opens a connection to the Internet, CheckUp contains stringent security measures to protect your information from external threats. Your information is stored safely and securely on your personal computer where you have complete control and access over it. Windows Security Alert
To avoid receiving this error each time you start CheckUp, click the Unblock button and Windows will add CheckUp to its "Exceptions List" and allow it to open a connection to the Internet. Visit Microsoft's Web site for further information about the Windows Firewall contained in Service Pack 2.
